The Story Behind "Blink"

Teach me to number my days

This is the first line from our new song “Blink,” and is taken from Psalm 90.

The theme for this song, and the whole new record, was born out of a late night conversation that me and the boys had after dinner. We had just decided to start work on our new record and were figuring out what we wanted to say. As often happens with us, we began reminiscing about old Revive stories: bizarre venues, crazy people we've met, broken down vans and buses and the millions of miles we’ve traveled and people we’ve played to.

We wondered how much longer we would be doing this. Will this be our last record or will we be around for years and years? Well, who can say? We decided that whatever happens, we wanted to make a record that challenges people not to waste their lives, but to use what God has given them to applaud Him and give Him Glory.

Let the past not weigh us down with regret, and the future not overwhelm us with its uncertainty, but let's live today and walk with our God…

With that said, what are some things you would like to accomplish before the end of your life? We would love to hear what is on your "bucket list.”

AWESOME!! Felt moved and inspired even by the intro. Love the depth of sound, the harmonies and, of course, the powerful message!!
Not to be too sombre - my hubby is a paramedic. Time and again he tells a story of someone's life who is changed forever, in a blink. I don't know how much longer I will have. May God give me courage, focus and strength to spread the news of God's love - to make the most of every opportunity. I desire no other purpose for me than to build God's Kingdom here on earth.

Guys, as always you are incredible! The new song BLINK is fabulous. So moving! I cannot wait until the new cd comes out! I gave away three REVIVE t's last Friday when our youth group went to WinterJam in Little Rock. I only wish that they could have heard more music from such a wonderful group of guys with an awesome Aussie sound!!! :) Please, Please, Please come back to Little Rock or better yet, Conway/Damascus area so we can hear ALL of your music!! Something I want to do in this life...
I have this dream to travel from my home town to California. I would love to just hit the road with no plans, only a destination. While on the road I plan to fulfill the needs of the people I see. If I notice someone who needs food, I would love to provided that for them and share the faithfulness of God. If someone's spirit is broken, I would love to offer them the love of God. My dreams is to connect with people wherever I am in hopes that they will see God in me. What is crazy about this dream is that it is completely out of my comfort zone. I am spontaneous enough to do it, but I realize if I want to make this dream a reality, I've got to start loving on EVERY person around me. The challenge for me is to see Jesus in everyone I encounter and to love and live like Jesus did.
And so... the journey begins here!
